Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Germany for Q3 2022

The third quarter of 2022 saw diverse performance trends for the top five Navigation and Maps applications on the Android platform in Germany. According to Sensor Tower data, Blitzer.de, Google Earth, TomTom GO Navigation, TomTom AmiGO, and Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had notable weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics.

Blitzer.de experienced a peak in weekly downloads in late July, reaching around 23.5K. Throughout the quarter, downloads fluctuated, ending at approximately 13.9K in late September. The app also maintained a consistent number of weekly active users, starting at about 98.2K and closing the quarter with around 97.3K.

Google Earth saw its weekly downloads peak at around 17.8K in late July, with a steady decline to approximately 14.7K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting from about 221.8K and ending at roughly 199.6K.

TomTom GO Navigation demonstrated a consistent increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $31.2K in late August. Weekly downloads saw a notable rise in early August, reaching about 17.6K, while active users grew from 28.4K in late June to around 30.5K by the end of the quarter.

TomTom AmiGO - GPS Navigation had a remarkable spike in weekly downloads, hitting around 58.7K in late July. However, this number dropped significantly towards the end of the quarter, settling at about 2K. The app's active users mirrored this trend, peaking at approximately 64.9K in late July and decreasing to around 19.3K by late September.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a steady rise in weekly downloads, reaching around 12.9K in early August. Active users also showed a gradual increase, peaking at approximately 172.2K in early August before slightly declining to around 147.7K by the end of September.
